"Turnkey project" is a term used to describe a project that is delivered to a client in a fully operational state, ready for immediate use. In other words, the client receives a complete solution that requires no further work or modifications. The term "turnkey" comes from the idea of a "turning the key" to start something, in this case a business or a facility.

Turnkey projects are usually used in construction, engineering, and manufacturing industries where the main contractor or vendor is responsible for delivering a complete project, including design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover to the client. The main advantage of turnkey projects is that the client only needs to "turn the key" to start using the facility or product, and doesn't have to worry about managing multiple contractors, coordinating the design and construction phases, or procuring equipment and materials.
